"This will be the best sports facility in the North of England" that's how Middlesbrough Mayor Ray Mallon has described his plans to build a new sports village in the town.
The Prissick Sports Village will replace the town's Clairville Stadium - which will be demolished to make way for more than 150 homes - having been earmarked for closure as part of the council's budget cuts.
It's an ambitious plan for the town - and BBC Tees's David Rhodes has been speaking to the Mayor about his plans.
