Lant Pritchett on organisational capacity, doing decentralisation differently and changing the way we support service delivery in fragile states


At the 10th anniversary conference for the World Development Report 2004 (Making Services Work for Poor People) we interviewed Lant Pritchett, a member of the WDR 2004 core team, about the importance of organisational (rather than simply individual) capacity, how the local versus national decentralisation debate is a fruitless discourse, and why we need to focus on supporting local capacity to deliver services in fragile states.
