Wired on Radio Borders Interview: Liam chats to Galashiels Academy Award Winners

Wired's Liam Wheelan was at the Galashiels Academy Wider Achievement Awards to interview some of the winners, guests and teachers. The Wider Achievement Awards recognise pupil's commitments to their community and school as well as their talents and personal qualities. As a pupil of Galashiels Academy Liam was also at the ceremony to collect an award for his impressive contribution to the community through his role with Wired.

In his report Liam catches up with Alice, Carly and Cara who are in the pre production stages of their film about school memories. He chats to Euan Nelson about playing the bagpipes and Ally McGilvray of the Border Telegraph talks about the importance of recognising young people's wider achievements. Finally Depute Mrs Anderson explains what a success the event has been.
