Seanna & Leighton to represent St. Mary & St. Michael

The Queen's Baton Relay is due to be seen by over 4000 children next week when it tours Primary Schools here in Guernsey on Wednesday 14th May. It will start its journey at 9am and tour the majority of Primary Schools here in Guernsey before reaching St. Mary & St. Michael at approximately 3pm.

At St. Mary & St. Michael Seanna Hainsworth and Leighton Woodhead, both in Year 6, will be some of the batonbearers lucky enough to be part of this worldwide relay. Seanna is a keen dancer and is also the Head Girl at her school. Her headteacher highlighted that she always tries her best and can be relied upon to go the extra mile. She has been involved in dance for a long time and has taken part in the World Cup of Dance for Irish Dancing.

Leighton, will join Seanna in bearering the baton that day, and is also from Year 6 and is head boy at St. Mary & St. Michael Primary School. His nomination highlighted that he can be relied upon to go the extra mile and he has also represented Guernsey at Rugby.
