PART 2 The former Irish President Mary McAleese described the Catholic Church's forthcoming Synod on the family as "bonkers". 150 bishops will gather for the Synod which prompted Mrs McAleese to ask "how many of them advising the pope on family matters had ever changed a nappy?"
