Mandy McBain MBE of Stonewall talks about the changed attitudes within the British Forces

Mandy McBain spent 25 years in the Royal Navy and now works for the campaign group, Stonewall. She went on to chair the Navy section of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Forum. Mandy McBain also served at a time when she could have been charged for her homosexual activity. Like so many who faced the conflict between career and their sexuality at that time, she told BFBS Radio's Steve Britton how she led a double life by way of a cover-up
