Sgt Major Dougie Graham talks about Forces banter and being gay in the British military
Sergeant Major “Dougie” Graham of the Royal Regiment of Scotland joined the army in 1979. He’s the epitome of an ‘old-skool’ Sergeant Major, a tough but personable Scot. He’s also one of the last people you’d have expected to see marching in London Pride – the gay parade which took place at the weekend. But ”Dougie” is very comfortable with his sexuality and the service banter that comes his way, up to a point - as BFBS’s Steve Britton heard.
