Being Edan

Sep 30, 2014, 02:43 PM

16-year-old Edan loves comics, computer games and hanging out with friends. Unlike most other teenagers though, he grew up believing he was from an imaginary other world, that he calls Star Jute. He paces compulsively, has a diet almost solely composed of un-buttered tuna sandwiches, and often refers to non-autistic people as 'Muggles'. Seeing the world through Edan's eyes, this BBC Radio Scotland documentary asks what more can be done to build bridges between autistic people and the rest of society. Presenter: Edan Hansen Producer: Dave Howard With thanks to: Edan's family and BBC Scotland's Generation 2014 project.
