Covina Police - Chief updates collision that killed Officer Jordan Corder

Covina Police Chief Kim Raney says the CHP is assisting with the investigation into the collision yesterday that took the life of 28-year-old motorcycle Officer Jordan Corder. Raney says the crash was recorded on a digital camera mounted on the motorcycle and investigators would attempt to recover the data. He says Corder had been assigned to traffic duty earlier this year. Corder's father was a Covina Police captain, and Raney says Corder grew up in the community. Corder had just left an employee appreciation lunch when the crash happened. Authorities say it appears Corder struck an SUV that turned left in front of him on North Citrus Avenue.
