Digital Footprints. Did you all know you that have digital footprints out online? Things that you frequent online - Facebook, Twitter. These are all parts of what make up your digital footprint. And that's what we're going to talk about this week. Both tips on how to make that a strong positive digital footprint and how to protect your privacy online. So this week we're going to look at a series of videos and articles that talk about your digital footprint and what you're leaving behind. You'll also get, again, some tips on how to protect your digital footprint and how to produce a good positive digital footprint of yourself for potential employers. You'd be surprised, I think, at how many employers are looking at that digital footprint. Both Facebook, Twitter, social media in general. They are using this to learn more about their potential employees. And some of the articles you’ll read are looking at just that. What are potential employer looking at and how Facebook is really becoming something that people need to be careful of how they're using it in job and in looking for jobs. Also think about this topic in terms of the students you will teach and what they need to know about being responsible online. Kids of all ages are using social media at home and even in the classroom. So be sure you understand as a teacher how you will need to teach them how to be responsible when they're online. So this week is all about digital footprints. How to learn more about it, protect yourself, and teach your own students about the topic. And ensure we are all putting forth our best digital footprint that we can.
