Couple fined for leaving bad review

A local couple have been fined for leaving a bad review.

Tony and Jan Jenkinson from Whitehaven discovered £100 had been taken from their account by a hotel they had described as a "rotten stinking hovel" in a review.

The hotel told the couple it was their policy was to charge for "bad" reviews. The manager of the Broadway Hotel in Blackpool was unavailable for comment.
