Dedicated acute hip fracture ward a first in Scotland
Share
Patients in #Fife will be amongst the first in Scotland to have access to a dedicated acute hip fracture ward. A year-long pilot at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, will specialise in improving outcomes for patients with acute hip fractures and establish a dedicated pathway for their care. The ward will provide a holistic environment for patients and will ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, including input from occupational therapists, physiotherapists and pharmacists.
