The Church And Asylum Seekers

Fleeing from persecution maybe even the threat of being killed, thousands of people each year claim asylum here in the UK.

Many end up being sent here to Teesside whilst there applications are considered.

Middlesbrough is the only place in the UK to be housing more asylum seekers than its supposed too.

But what role does the church play in supporting those seeking refugee.

David Rhodes has been to the Jubilee Church in Middlesbrough to find out.
