"Immigration detention centres are a necessary evil." A Border Force Officer speaks to LBC

A cross party group of MPs today described the treatment of asylum seekers held in detention centres as "deeply shocking".

Shelagh Fogarty took a call from a man who had spent time in detention after arriving in the UK from Eritrea and also a Border Force Officer. He told her that in his experience, these centres are "a necessary evil."
