Women Worldwide with Guests, Melissa Izbicki and Annie Truex

The host of Women Worldwide, Deirdre Breakenridge, welcomes her two guest to the show, Melissa Izbicki, an award winning independent film producer with over seven narrative short films under her belt. Melissa is currently working on her first feature film, The Big Day. Annie Truex also joins the show. She is one of the actresses starring in the new film. Annie moved to LA in 2012 to pursue her acting career.

On the show, Melissa and Annie share their experiences on the set, discuss what it’s like to be a women in the film industry and examine the challenges they face. They also openly discuss their advice to other professionals tackling tough obstacles in highly competitive industries, and the high and low points in their careers.

A little more about Melissa Izbicki and Annie Truex …  Melissa Izbicki is a graduate of Chapman University’s film production program. Notable awards/nominations include a 2010 Chapman University Cecil Award Nominee for Cinematography (The Exit), Official Selection in the Academy-Accredited 2010 LA Shorts Festival (Double Negative), NexTV’s Web Series/Short Film Competition (Double Negative), and Winner of the 2008 LA Comedy Shorts Screenplay Competition (Danny Caldwell Goes to Hell).

Annie Truex graduated Chapman University in 2012. Truex graduated from the two-year Meisner training program at the Joanne Brown/DW Brown School for the Dramatic Arts and her recent credits include AT&T Holiday, Palm Springs Tramway, Robins Brothers and Spokeo Reunite.
