Jazz FM Business Breakfast - Mark Morris, Introversion Software Extended Interview

Oct 17, 2015, 10:04 PM

An extended interview from the Jazz FM Business Breakfast.

A version of this was first broadcast on Friday the 16th of October 2015.

As a country, we’ve historically punched above our weight in creative industries. British film is thriving, British musicians cover overseas charts. And public funding is there – although some pools have dried up during the recession, governments and other bodies are aware of the cultural power of creative content, and, more pragmatically, the benefit to the economy of artistic success. Now a 4 million pound fund for UK video game start-ups has been announced. The government’s aiming it at firms needing help to get from concepts, to a working prototype, to attract private investors. But is this the help new firms need?

Nick Howard speaks to Mark Morris, Managing Director of Introversion Software, "the last of the bedroom coders".
