#Octaver Day 24: a Song I Wish I Could Have Written - Albatross by Judy Collins

I really had a hard time choosing a song; there are so many wonderful ones out there. I almost picked Scenes from an Italian Restaurant by Billy Joel. But this one has strongly appealed to me ever since I first heard it about fifteen years ago. The lyrics are beautifully poetic, and the music is lush and perfectly orchestrated. I wish I could have come up with this combination of meaningful poetry and gorgeously arranged music. I've written songs before, but nothing like this! #Albatross #JudyCollins #music #Octaver
