A record number of people in the West Midlands are surviving cardiac arrests -- according to the region's ambulance service.

Paramedics were called out to more then four thousand cases in the last year -- with a heart beat restored in 1 in 4 cases.

But for many emergency medics the challenge is to recognise the warning signs of a heart attack that could lead to cardiac arrest.
