"Nowhere to go": Campaign to save Stafford youth hostel...

Around three thousand people have signed a petition calling for a hostel in Stafford to be saved from closure.

Lichfield House is currently home to twelve residents and employs six staff.

But the housing association which runs it, Midland Heart, plans to close it at the end of next month.

They say it's because of a cut in funding it receives from Staffordshire County Council.

The campaign to keep it open has been started by 28-year-old Gregg Jenkinson -- who moved into the hostel three weeks ago...

(Midland Heart Housing Association has told us it had no alternative to closure after Staffordshire County Council removed funding. The council says it now focuses it's spending on preventing young people becoming homeless. )
