Reading popular novels is easy. Watching TV is easy. So is watching music videos. You don’t have to use your imagination; everything is done for you. When you do want to use your imagination, try these tips: Read a poem and picture it in your mind. Turn off the TV. Find a radio station with music you don’t usually listen to―classical? jazz? world music?―and imagine scenes to go along with it.
Today I’ll exercise my imagination.
