The BBC has been accused of clogging up the court system by prosecuting licence fee evaders. The Belfast Telegraph today reports that TV licence cases accounted for a quarter of all criminal prosecutions in Northern Ireland last year. The paper says the legal system was swamped by ten thousand licence fee cases in 2014/15. And only half of those prosecuted were found guilty, it reports.
