Example Interview

Example was a self confessed loose cannon when he first came to the attention of the masses with his non stop partying (just look at YouTube for the evidence).

But those days on the road had to come to an end when the demand for his music increased, and his hectic gigging schedule took priority.

After stumbling upon Example performing a few years ago at T in the Park, whilst dressed as a Beef Eater (me not Example), I realised I’d been missing out for a long time on an artist who turned out to be a surprise festival highlight.

So when he ended up playing a gig just round the corner from me, I knew I had to get a ticket and worm my way backstage to ask him a few questions.

For example, “If you had to get one of your own lyrics tattooed on your arm which lyric would it be…”

And I asked him how he manages to make every single gig feel like it’s everybody’s ideal Saturday night out.
