Farmers in South Sudan have been urged to plant drought tolerant crops in order to boost crop production in the country following a delay in rainfall.

Mark James, FAO’s National information consultant on Agrometeorology told Radio Miraya that the Southern and Eastern Parts of South Sudan are expected to receive normal to above normal rainfall.

Mark James has asked Humanitarian organizations to deliver agricultural tools before the rainy season sets in and roads are blocked.
