Paramedic retires from @NWAmbulance after 44 years. @bbcmerseyside

Imagine saving a life? That's just a normal day in the job for paramedic Steve Evans MBE. But not any more - as today he said goodbye to the North West Ambulance Service. After over 40 years serving the community, Steve from Runcorn has packed up his first aid kit and parked up the ambulance one last time. I went along to his retirement do for his send off.
