Assisted dying may be legal, but it will still be hard to get a doctor in northern B.C.

The federal government has tabled legislation for doctor-assisted death in Canada- but how accessible will it be in northern B.C.? There are already challenges for people in rural and remote communities to access doctors, and there are additional challenges for doctor-assisted death, such as the need for two physicians to sign off on the procedure, and the need for doctors to not know their patients. We speak to Catharine Schiller, a nurse, lawyer, and associate professor at UNBC about the issues.
