US President Barack Obama has issued a challenge to the next generation of political leaders in Northern Ireland. During his visit, he urged young people to forge a "new identity" that is about being from Northern Ireland as opposed to unionist or Sinn Féin

He also said they should decide the "country as a whole is more important than any particular faction or any particular flag".
