There is an urgent need to restore the ecosystem along the coastal areas in the country to check possible food shortage , drought and flooding due to El Nino weather.

An Associate Professor of Environmental Planning and HOD, Department of Geography, Nasarawa State University Keffi, Dr. Nasiru Idris made the call during an interactive section with Radio Nigeria in Lagos.
