Crime writer Stephen Booth says a bridge near New Mills inspired the storyline for his most recent paperback, Murder Road. It’s a about a lorry that gets jammed under the bridge but the driver is missing. The author told High Peak Radio that he is often inspired by locations. You can also see Stephen in person this Friday (17th) Spring Bank Arts centre in New Mills and next Saturday at Reading Matters in Chapel en le Frith (25th).
