Dazed and Confused
Based on Romans 1, 2 and 2 Timothy 3:1-7 .
As seen in the article below concerning President Jimmy Carter, we believe in the word of God when it's convenient and when it disturbs our worldview we toss the word of God out.
Our sin grieves The Holy Spirit and it hurts the heart of God! God is real, He has feelings as we do and He is crushed when we dishonor our relationship with Him. The good news is this, through Christ, God The father made a way for us to be forgiven of all our sin by having as personal relationship with Him through His Son! Make no mistake about it though, our sin cost The Father everything because His Son had to die in our place.
2 Corinthians 5:21 -- "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."
As Christians we are called to be a light to the world and to live out our faith and to be people that consistently uphold the word of God without partiality.
Matthew 5:13-16 -- “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
My nephew is gay but I don't hate him, I hate his sin, not him! I love my nephew. Likewise Christians need to show the love of God in all situations however we are also called to call out sin when necessary.
Finally, the Bible, Jesus Christ, and God the father are real and if that be the case then his word is real and we must commit to following His Word without reservation and unwaveringly.
