Somme anniversary, Cromer
Share
On Thursday an 18 hour vigil will start at the Cromer War Memorial to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the battle of the Somme. It was one of the worst parts of the First World War with thousands losing their lives in terrible conditions. There will be a silent vigil from 6pm on Thursday night until 12 noon on Friday. The event is supported by the Town Council, The British Legion and Cromer Church. It’s been organised by David Pritchard.
