How to solve a problem like South Sudan? – Analysts perspective

An analyst at the South Sudan South Sudanese think-tank -The Sudd Institute, has said regional leaders need to engage both the political and military leadership on both sides of the conflict, to pave way for stability in South Sudan.

This call comes amid calls by the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki –moon to impose an arms embargo on South Sudan, sanctions against people obstructing the peace process and ensure the reinforcement of the UN Mission in South Sudan - UNMISS.

Zacharia Ding Akol, told Miraya Breakfast show that while these suggestions sound good, the international community must boost funding in support of the activities needed to accelerate the implementation of the agreement to resolve the conflict in South Sudan.
