Jasper Høiby, one third of trio Phronesis, stands a tall and imposing figure and is a significant contributor to the British, European and Worlwide jazz family. A gentle giant, he spoke with Chris Philips about his parallel project 'Fellow Creatures' featuring a stellar line-up of British talent including veteran saxophonist Mark Lockheart, award-winning trumpeter Laura Jurd, pianist Elliot Galvin, bassist Connor cHaplin and drummer Corrie Dick. Jaspers inspirations are three-fold on this. His concern for how we are interacting as humans, how we are looking after our environment and also by the memory of his late sister who passed away earlier this year. Hear Jasper declare how he feels a responsibilty to speak out as an artist and hear selections from 'Fellow Creatures and one of his own compositions from the new Phronesis album 'Parallax'.
