Unarmed, protecting civillians and supporting peace in South Sudan

The Non Violence Peace Force, a nonpartisan unarmed peacekeeping organization has been working with the communities at the grassroots to strengthen protection of civilians and prevention of violence in #SouthSudan.

Chris Holt, Deputy Country Director, Non Violence Peace Force in South Sudan spoke with Miraya Breakfast Show host, describing the kind of support the peace-force has provided to trace and reunite families separated by fighting and supporting peace in South Sudan.

[...] "We were able to reunite a12 - years-old boy who fled to UN house during the fighting with his mother, who he had not seen for 9-months...this was a great success story for the team in South Sudan," says Chris Holt.
