Must do better: Council reaction to 'unfair' league tables

Just 53% of secondary pupils in Stoke-on-Trent are in schools that are performing well.

Ofsted's annual report recently stated the city is in the bottom ten local authority areas in the country for school performance at secondary level.

Cllr Janine Bridges is cabinet member for education at Stoke-on-Trent City Council says city schools face certain pressures but are making progress.
