An Australian basketball team wanted to be able to shoot more baskets. Some team members practiced taking foul shots for 30 minutes every day. Other team members didn’t actually shoot baskets. They imagined themselves shooting baskets. They improved almost as much as the group that practiced for 30 minutes every day! Many athletes use their imaginations to become more successful. They picture themselves getting better, and it really happens.
