The Supreme Court has given its ruling on Brexit and the news this morning is that the government lost.

Ministers cannot start the process of taking the UK out of the EU without first getting the permission of parliament.

It's a busy old time in politics with parties eyeing up Stoke-on-Trent central -- where an Mp's seat has become vacant.

So how could this latest chapter in the tale of Brexit effect the by election right here in the potteries?
