Rolando Barry founded the Missouri Highsteppers — formerly known as the Blind Boone Highsteppers and the Mid-Missouri Highsteppers — in 1979. He belonged to similar drill teams as a child in St. Louis.The Missouri Highsteppers is a contemporary precision dance and drill troupe – performing dance steps, military drill maneuvers, marching steps and choreographed street dance to percussion accompaniment. Missouri High Steppers’ Mission Provide opportunities for growth and development through enrichment activities centered around character building, leadership, health and life skills, education, career, sports, recreation, fitness and the arts. Provide a safe place for youth to learn and grow physically, emotionally and spiritually.
