When Jonah was four years old, he rinsed his mom’s contact lenses down the sink. Back then, she was angry and he was sorry. Now, 15 years later, this is one of their favorite stories. They tell it to their friends and laugh about it together. Over time, even embarrassing events can become funny stories. (When we put them in perspective, we can laugh about them sooner.)

Today I’ll tell a funny story from my past.
