Trevor Winckworth says: there is good news. Recorded 24 February 2017.

(1) Italy - new client - Cinque Terre Tourism Board has commissioned 4,000 Souvenir AudioPlayers - in 5 languages: English, Italian, French, German & Spanish - no Chinese Mandarin.

"Cinque Terre is a string of centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline. In each of the 5 towns, colorful houses and vineyards cling to steep terraces, harbors are filled with fishing boats and trattorias turn out seafood specialties along with the Liguria region’s famous sauce, pesto. The Sentiero Azzurro cliffside hiking trail links the villages and offers sweeping sea vistas. UNESCO World Heritage Site inscription: 1997"

The contract came via an introduction from Genoa Tourist Board. The Board is already a client of IHG. They have re-ordered souvenir audioplayer guides mainly for tourists who come from cruise liners.

(2) Spain - Camina Way - IHG have a new customer - an order for Souvenir AudioPlayers will ship in 2 weeks. "Testing the waters - a new idea." Commissioned by an Irish company - a booking agent in Dublin 8 that books 30,000 people annually who walk the Way.

The souvenir audio guides will cover the last 30 kilometres on the way into Santiago de Compostello. It will provide information about the Camino & local dishes you find on the walk.

The audio will be voiced by a Spanish person with local knowledge & will sell online and in local sites.

(3) USA - Everglades National Park, Florida - visited by one million visitor every year. This big order is for 50,000 Souvenir Audioplayers. Script will be supplied by Everglades - voiced by an American for the first time.

There are also other discussions with US National Parks.

IHG has an agent in USA. He's been working on this since January 2017. Enterprise Ireland "Acceleration Package" pays 50% of the cost of hiring the agent. "A great package - talk to EI about it." Trevor explains how the scheme works.
