EDU 313: Welcome (Fall 17)

Hi everybody. My name is Shannon Eastep and I will be your instructor this semester for EDU 313. Now in addition to welcoming you to the course and telling you a little bit about it, I wanted to deliver a podcast to you to show you one of the many tools that we’ll be using throughout the semester. Not only will I be recording weekly podcasts for you to better understand what we will be covering that week, but later in the semester you guys will also be learning how to create your own audio recordings. The tool is a free one and will allow you to record your voice and make it available for others to hear. This is just one of the many things we will be covering this semester. We will be also be covering a variety of other topics including free online teacher resources, blogs, social media, Smartboard, mobile devices, Web 2.0 and a variety of other things. We’ll learn more about these topics when we get into the syllabus and throughout the semester. But for now I just wanted to deliver a message to you in a different way, called a podcast, and welcome you to the course. So officially – welcome! Now let’s get started with EDU 313.
