Sparks Police are asking for help identifying a man suspected of attempting to kidnap a two-year-old girl from the 21-hundred block of Jessie Avenue last Sunday. The girl, her sibling and her mother were in the backyard of their residence on Sunday about six that evening. The girl's mother went into the residence briefly, when she heard her daughter screaming. She rushed outside to find a man attempting to take the girl. The mother moved to her daughter, trying to release her daughter and yelled at the suspect to let go. He released his grip and jumped the fence . He's described as 30-35 years old, thin build, about 120 pounds, with unclean, blonde, wavy, unkempt hair. He has acne at the brow line and moving up his forehead. His eyes were sunken and dark. He wore a dirty white t-shirt, blue jeans frayed at the cuff and white canvas shoes with a blue stripe. Officers arrived moments later and searched the area for the suspect without success. If anyone recognizes the described suspect or has had contact with him, please contact the Sparks Police Department.
