ReWatchable is back to recap and discuss Freaks and Geeks season 1, episode 1, “Pilot,” and season 1, episode 2, “Beers and Weirs.”

Superfans: Brittany and Jack
Newbies: Ariana and Danielle

Freaks and Geeks season 1, episode 1 "Pilot"
-Ariana combines poetry and potheads to make our first sassy synopsis of the season.
-We're never going to call the characters by their character names. Like, ever.
-Our thoughts on Linda Cardellini/Lindsay Weir/The Brunette: Lovable or ehhh?
-#TeamWeirdDecathlonGirl
-Being nice doesn't equal being in love.
-There's always some sort of detour into ATLA territory.
-SO many fun cameos in this first episode, including an actor from Flash Forward, a show that nobody seems to remember.
-Initial newbie thoughts on the show: Not in love, but definitely in "like."
-Random thoughts because there's not much to discuss in the pilot episode.
-Dodgeball aka "Let's all throw stuff at people!"
-Jack hates Cindy and we don't understand at all.
-Favorite scenes (Danielle mixes up Seth Rogan and Jason Segel and it's painful.)
-Favorite lines

Freaks and Geeks season 1, episode 2 "Beers and Weirs"
-We explore the term "kegger" and try to be urban dictionaries as we all have different definitions.
-Our discussion of keggers turns into a sort of contest to see who had the lamest high school experience.
-Everybody tells Linda "You do you, girl" and we love how true to life that is!
-Ariana tells us how Linda Cardellini is, essentially, Sarah Marshall.
-Freaks and Geeks isn't "preachy" PSA, thank goodness.
-After recording most of the podcast episode, we still don't know the characters by name. Good thing we have our nicknames.

-We pimp our personal Twitter accounts because why not? It's a new round of ReWatchable!
-The newbies (mainly Danielle) form a non-binging support group.
-Yay! A brand new listener!
-There's always time for some VMars love.
