Police have told Capital a 31-year-old from Derbyshire has never told his family, police or the court why he murdered his dad at their home.
Daniel Seggie's been jailed for life for attacking dad Geoff with a knife and hammer at their home in Mackworth last November.
He then lied to the rest of his family trying to cover up that he'd been killed.
