Exclusive - over £30K a month shelled out on TV coverage of Assembly which hasn't sat in months

A Nolan Show exclusive - we can reveal that it is costing £33,188 per month for TV broadcasting for the Northern Ireland Assembly even though they havent' been sitting. A Freedom of Information request has revealed the contract is worth £398,256 for one year up to July this year and to date there have been no payment reductions imposed due to the halt in Assembly proceedings.Power-sharing collapsed in January with the last Assembly proceedings held on January 24th - since then MLAs have only returned twice in March for new MLAs taking the role of membership after the snap election (March 13th) and a special session to pay tribute to the late Martin McGuinness (March 22nd).
