“When a deep injury is done to us, we never recover until we forgive.” Alan Paton

When someone hurts us, we may hold onto feelings of hatred and resentment. We may wish the person harm or even plot revenge. This consumes our time, eats up our energy, and keeps the hurt from healing. Dwelling on what happened, turning it over and over in our minds, and imagining how we’ll retaliate makes it difficult to move on with our lives. First we must find a way to forgive.

TODAY I’ll forgive an old injury so I can put it behind me.
