WITH a brand new bassist settling in nicely and an arm-full of new tunes, Oldham-based alt-prog rock trio Mother Kraken are confident they can make a big impact on the local scene before 2017 is up.

The dedicated band – frontman and guitarist Reece Warburton, bassist Alex Scott and sticks man Saul Gerrard – have been rehearsing hard at Shure 5 Studios in Royton.
