Belgium implores UNMISS to push for accountability in South Sudan

The government of Belgium say the cycle of impunity in South Sudan should not be allowed to thrive.

The Belgian Ambassador to Uganda and South-Sudan, Hugo VERBIST, told Radio Miraya on Wednesday that the UN mission in South Sudan could play a critical role in curtailing impunity by reporting human rights abuses to pave way for proper accountability.

In this interview, Ambassador Hugo tells Irene Lasu, that Belgium has donated generously in support of Humanitarian aid in South Sudan. He begins by explaining the significance of the visit by Belgium's Prime Minister.
