Up to 2,000 children in Juba are benefiting from a school feeding programme implemented by Malteser International, a non-governmental organization focused on emergency relief.

The organization’s #SouthSudan country coordinator, Dipankar Datta says they are currently implementing the program in three schools in the Lologo residential area, with plans to expand to Wau - targeting children at the UN protected area.

Datta says the free meals have contributed to high enrolment levels and improved performance in schools.
