The Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest is reminding dog owners hiking on the Whites Creek and Thomas Creek Trails on the Carson Ranger District, that they need to keep dogs leashed at the trailheads, and within one mile of the trailheads. This is important because there have been a number of incidents where off-leash dogs have harassed herds of sheep being used by the District to reduce hazardous fuels in the area.
