I staked an octave around a friend's apple tree and, each dawn and dusk of October 2007, I gathered the apples in their landing-notes. Their weight became the length of the note; the weather conditions the timbre. Áine O'Dwyer interpreted the piece on the harp, Patrick Corcoran took images.
